IELTS on paper test results are available online 13 days after your test. For IELTS on computer, results are available online within 3 to 5 days after your test. Your test centre will send you a paper copy of your results – your Test Report Form (TRF) – after your results become available.

If you did not get the score you expected, you can apply for your test to be re-marked. This is called an Enquiry on Results (EOR). For an enquiry about your test results, contact the centre where you booked your test within 6 weeks of your test date.

When will I receive my IELTS results?
To see a preview of your results, log in to the Test Taker Portal. IELTS Results remain on the portal for 28 days.
For IELTS on paper test, you can preview your results 13 calendar days from the date of your test. Your results will be available on the Test Taker Portal.
For IELTS on computer, you can preview your results 3 to 5 calendar days from the date of your test. Your results will be available on the Test Taker Portal.
When will I get a physical copy of my result?
A physical copy of your IELTS score – your Test Report Form (TRF) – will be sent by mail 13 days after the date of your test. Please contact your test centre for more information about this.
IELTS results will not be disclosed over the phone or through email.
Can I get additional copies of my IELTS results?
If you would like another copy of your TRF to be sent to a recognising organisation , please contact your local test centre .
If your test centre is no longer operating, you can order additional TRFs from ielts.org .
What does my IELTS score mean?
IELTS scores are awarded by bands, these bands range from 0 to 9. Your band scores will be displayed on your TRF.
Your TRF shows a score for each of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking), as well as an overall band score. You can score whole band scores (for example 5.0, 6.0, 7.0) or half band scores (e.g. 5.5, 6.5, 7.5) in each section of the test.
How long are my IELTS results valid for?
For both IELTS on paper or computer tests, IELTS scores are generally valid for a period of two years. The IELTS Partners cannot confirm the validity of test results that are more than two years old.
How can I get my IELTS test re-marked?
If you did not get the score you had hoped for, you can request for your test to be re-marked. This is called an Enquiry on Results (EOR). You can decide which test sections you want to be re-marked and will need to make this request at the test centre where you did your test. Please contact your test centre for more information.
You need to apply for re-marking no later than six weeks following the test date, regardless of whether you have taken IELTS on paper or computer. Enquiries on Results take between two to four weeks to complete.
Can I re-take my IELTS test?
There are no restrictions on re-taking IELTS. You can register for a test as soon as you feel you are ready to do so.
