Nearly 5,000 Express Entry invitations issued in two days
Over the last few weeks, Canada has continued issuing Express Entry invitations, including 4,955 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) across two consecutive draws, creating new opportunities for candidates pursuing permanent residence.
On 22 June, 955 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates received invitations to apply. Just one day later, Canada invited an additional 4,000 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates, while the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score dropped to 516 points.
Since then, IRCC has also invited 271 physicians with Canadian work experience and 4,000 healthcare and social services professionals, reinforcing its continued focus on targeted Express Entry invitations.
These consecutive draws suggest that Canada’s immigration system continues to move forward, offering new opportunities for eligible candidates. For many applicants, these draws also reinforce the importance of being prepared before the next invitation round.
A valid IELTS General Training result remains a key requirement for most Express Entry pathways. Waiting until a new draw is announced to book your test could mean losing valuable time when every step counts toward your immigration goals.
To help candidates prepare with greater flexibility, the British Council now offers IELTS on Computer with Writing on Paper option, allowing test takers to:
- Handwrite the Writing section.
- Access more test dates and locations.
- Receive fast results, typically within 1-2 days.
- Take the English test trusted by IRCC for Canadian immigration.
With Express Entry invitations continuing over recent weeks, the next draw could happen sooner than you expect. Preparing your IELTS today means you’ll be ready when your opportunity arrives.
